The band's sound is a minefield of contrasting textures and styles; the comparisons that come up often include Tortoise, Jaga Jazzist, Battles, Pivot, Aphex Twin…. The 3-piece group's members span their local music scene, and they have performed with virtually every notable contemporary French band.

Minimal Orchestra’s music is all instrumental despite a great deal of electronic influences. From the band’s artistic point of the view, it is important not to loose the organic nature of the live set and keep a fair balance between human and machine. The result: a borderless music made of Jazz, progressive and electronic Music.
